Sand casting
 • Moulds and models : workshop specialised in the production of medium sized moulds and models (max 1000x700 mm), equipped with CNC machine tools and machining centres (milling machines, EDM, etc.) supported by CAD-CAM workstations and specialised staff with years of experience in this field. • Iron foundry: Sand casting (grey or spheroidal cast iron and steel for items up to 300 kg), 20 ton capacity continuous casting blast furnaces. Disamatic systems for iron castings, 500x600x200 moulding. N°3 automatic lines with 1000x1400x400 flasks. N°2 manual systems for large size castings; core shop equipped with shell moulding machine. • Tolerances: The precision of the casting is related to production factors. The tolerance given by the Customer’s drawing may determine the manufacturing method, therefore during the quote phase it is important to define the precision required, processing requirements, moulding method and number of castings. |
